Have You Ever Tried the Poker Run Bicycle Race?

Do you like Poker?

Do you like riding a bicycle for recreating?

What would happen if we put those two together?

No! I’m not talking about playing poker while riding a bicycle. Even though that might be the most extreme of the extremist sports of all, I still think it would be impossible to make. We still need to visit a casino to play poker; and it is online casinos that are grabbing everyone’s attention, because of things like the Masked Singer Games Bonus.

Actually, the Poker Run that I’m talking about is a legit event that happens in various places around the world but is most popular in the good ol’ US of A.

What is the Poker Run?

A Poker Run is a race where participants need to visit certain checkpoints and collect playing cards. After going through all the checkpoints and reaching the final destination participants need to show the hand they got while collecting the cards. The person with the best poker hand wins. Simple as that!

Actually, it is not a race even though there is a time limit, or else it would require a lot of time to finish. Participants are not timed but they do need to finish the run in a certain period.

Once again, it is not a race, it’s a run. A winning hand wins the game.

Also, even though the most traditional way is using bicycles, in certain runs people are allowed to use all kinds of vehicles. Allowed forms of transportation include cars, motorcycles, ATVs, and in some places even boats and horses.

It Has a Charity Aspect

The Poker Run has a charity aspect in most states. You need to pay a certain amount for the entrance fee and sometimes even when you draw a card. The winner gets a prize but some organizers focus on the charitable aspect and give all the proceeds to a foundation.

What is the Benefit of the Poker Run?

I wouldn’t say that the benefit is actually winning. I would also say that no real gambler would participate in this kind of event, as there is no way to influence the game. Sheer luck is what grants you the victory.

The biggest benefit, in my opinion, is doing the run and competing. If you do it on a bicycle it is a great way to exercise and have fun as well.

Did I mention that there’s pizza in the end when you reach the goal?

To Conclude

Although the Poker Run is not for hardcore poker fanatics, it is a great event to participate in.

If there was one happening close by I would certainly try it.

Not for the pizza though, I’m trying to eat healthily… Ooookay one slice
